Frequently Asked Questions:

What time should I arrive?
Our morning service starts 11:00 am.

We share in Communion on the first Sunday of each month. Dennistoun Baptist has an “open table” view of Communion which means that anyone who has accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of their life is welcome to share Communion with us. However if you don’t want to take part there is no pressure to do so.

What should I wear?
You may wear whatever you feel comfortable in. Most people come dressed casually.

What is the worship like?
We try to maintain a balance of contemporary and traditional music so that there is something for everyone during the service.

How long is the service?
A normal morning service lasts for about 1 ¼ hours and if we are having Communion the service lasts about 1 ½ hours.

What happens during the service?
A normal service includes singing, prayers, sometimes Communion, a Bible reading and a message which seeks to make the Christian life relevant and practical to everyday living.

What happens afterwards?
Tea and coffee are served after the morning service. There is no rush to leave.
